Job description

  • Implements the Vallourec Field Services (VFS) safety, quality, standards, operational procedures and recommended practices, ensuring strict adherence to VFS Smart Run Scope of Work
  • Ensure that ALL Smart Run Casing Services operations are performed according to recommended practices and scope of work, ensuring safe site preparation, material offload and related tasks are performed without any incidents, accidents or service failures related to the service
  • Ensure the correct use of devices, tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by Vallourec and 3rd party personnel involved in the field execution of Smart Run Casing operations
  • Provides technical assistance at customer and distributor locations in relation to Vallourec Smart Run casing offload, Scanning and Digital tallying using the TagHub Application to generate a digital casing tally to the customer representative
  • Provides oversight and supervision to 3rd party personnel during the execution of Smart Run casing operations
  • Ensure that the casing is properly scanned, and an accurate digital tally is provided to the customer representative
  • Acts as a field representative and support for Smart Run casing field operations, obtaining and reporting upward feedback about the quality of service rendered to help understand customer's perception and satisfaction
  • Responsible for tracking and auditing the field execution and performance of 3rd party personnel (Outsourced Clean, Visual & Drift (CVD), ensuring the correct implementation of scope of work for the Services
  • Report gaps CVD's performance to supervisor for upward review with 3rd party management team
  • Assists with pipe preparation and re-tagging of Smart Run Casing to meet specifications: thread compound, scannable data matrix tag with accurate lengths
  • Maintains all required safety-related training and certifications
  • Tag and Tally for Smart Run orders, recording tag unique ID, Laser tally length and Heat numbers
  • Support Vibro-etching unique ID and heat numbers on joints
  • Perform routine quality checks on Smart Run orders at the Mill, validating lengths accuracy between production mill lengths versus laser/steel line tape measurements
  • Oversee Smart Run Rig Returns by performing Visual Thread Inspections (VTI), and processing pipes to be rig-ready by applying new QR tags thread compound, heat number and lengths
  • Inspect, maintain, and safely execute the Smith System of driving on company vehicles
  • Available "On Call" in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements
  • Must follow all company policies, running procedures, specifications and safety standards
  • Any other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience to meet skill level. Prefer advanced education
  • Minimum 5 years in OCTG services. Threading/Manufacturing, Inspection, Clean, Drift & Tally operations
  • Knowledge in basic computer skills. Microsoft excel and word
  • Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use, read and interpret engineering measuring tape and correct use of electronic devices and hand tools
  • Ability to add, divide, subtract and perform simple calculations, using a calculator
  • Must be available for frequent extended travel both domestically and internationally
  • Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must be able to pass applicable testing as required
