What you will do

Reporting directly to the Director of Automation Solutions, the Solutions Specialist for Industrial Control, Sensors, and Safety is responsible for driving growth, leading technical and commercial initiatives, and enabling exceptional outcomes for customers served by the Orange County, CA, office of OneSource Distributors. This role partners closely with account managers, inside sales, and key vendor partners such as Rockwell Automation to promote and position technologies in industrial automation, sensing, and safety system solutions.
The Solutions Specialist will lead customer-facing engagements, support opportunity development, and champion the execution of strategic growth plans. This position requires strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and collaboration skills to drive adoption of industrial control, sensor, and safety products across the territory.

  • Drive year-over-year sales growth for industrial control, sensor, and safety portfolios
  • Maintain a healthy CRM funnel to sustain growth; support opportunity qualification and forecasting across key planning segments
  • Advance business development activities across customer base to earn new business from both existing and new customers
  • Maintain a trusted advisor posture to provide value-driven insights to customers
  • Network with key customer stakeholders to build lasting relationships
  • Work directly with OneSource Account Managers to identify new opportunities and support strategic account planning
  • Leverage vendor programs to accelerate sales and improve customer value
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual commercial activities aligned with vendor and company objectives
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, customer training sessions, and value-based customer discussions for assigned product areas
  • Collaborate with vendor teams, domain experts, marketing, and digital teams to support campaigns and events
  • Support internal training to elevate technical competency across the sales organization
  • Engage with vendor support structures to resolve quality, pricing, or technical concerns
  • Contribute to quarterly business reviews and provide performance and growth insights

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS), preferably in engineering, industrial technology, or a related technical field preferred
  • Understanding of industrial automation, sensors, machine safety, and control system technologies required
  • Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or product management preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationshipbuilding skills required
  • Willingness to continuously learn and build technical and commercial competency required

Location: This role is based in Fullerton, CA

Salary Range:

  • This is an exempt position that pays $89,000 - $122,000 annually. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range of the role may differ based on the location of the role.ย In addition to the base salary, this role offers a competitive commission plan.
