Job description


As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Hornell, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document daily activities, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities, crowd management needs, and transportation-related operations as directed, while maintaining a professional presence and providing clear information to those on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
