Launched in 2019, our company is a mission-led sports performance, training and media enterprise that will change the game of volleyball in the USA and empower new generations of female athletes.It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball in the US with our historic triple Olympic Gold medals in Women's Indoor, Beach and Sitting Volleyball. Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.

In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women's sports.
Job Summary:

The role will serve as the central driver of LOVB's national community and volleyball ecosystem strategy. This position is responsible for building meaningful connections between LOVB, its clubs, fans, and communities - creating a clear and compelling pathway from youth participation to the professional game.
This role will lead the development and execution of Youth to Pro initiatives across all markets, ensuring consistency at scale while maintaining local authenticity. The individual will also play a key role in shaping how LOVB shows up in communities and at league tentpole events - creating signature moments that grow the game, deepen fan connection, and elevate athlete visibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Community & Ecosystem Development (50%)
  • Design and lead LOVB's national community and grassroots engagement strategy across all markets
  • Build and scale Youth to Pro programming, connecting youth athletes, clubs, and communities to the professional league
  • Serve as the primary connector between LOVB clubs and the league, strengthening alignment and engagement
  • Develop relationships with club directors, coaches, and community leaders to expand LOVB's presence and impact
  • Partner with local market teams to activate programming such as open practices, youth clinics, and athlete engagement opportunities
  • Drive awareness and participation through community-based initiatives, outreach, and targeted campaigns
Tentpole Experience & Activation (30%)
  • Lead community and grassroots activation strategy for LOVB tentpole events (All-Star Weekend, Semifinals, Championship)
  • Design and execute fan-first experiences that bring the community into the league in meaningful ways
  • Manage LOVB Crew and grassroots activation teams to deliver high-energy, high-impact experiences
  • Ensure consistent execution and storytelling across all markets and major events
Community Presence & Strategic Partnerships (20%)
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners, including community organizations, sports groups, and civic stakeholders
  • Represent LOVB in community settings, events, and key conversations to strengthen brand presence and credibility
  • Identify and activate partnership opportunities that expand LOVB's reach within local and national communities
  • Support initiatives that position LOVB as a leader in growing the sport and empowering the next generation of athletes
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong relationship-building skills across diverse groups (clubs, athletes, community leaders, fans)
  • Experience building programs that scale across multiple markets
  • Deep understanding of the volleyball ecosystem and youth-to-pro pipeline
  • Strong project management and execution skills in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to track engagement and translate insights into action
  • Comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on environments
  • Willingness to travel frequently for events and activations
Education and Experience:
  • 3-5+ years in community engagement, sports marketing, partnerships, or related field
  • Experience working across multiple markets or at a league level preferred
  • Background in youth sports, club systems, or athlete development strongly preferred
  • Experience executing large-scale events and fan activations
  • Proven success building and maintaining external relationships
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
