Job description

Business Development Internship - Fall 2026US East Office (Jacksonville, FL)

We exist to transform our customers and change lives

Who We're Looking For

As a Digital Marketing Intern at RF-SMART, you'll work closely with our Marketing department — specifically the Business Development Inbound Team — to strengthen our digital presence through AIEO and SEO optimization, AI-driven marketing initiatives, and data-informed strategy. This hands-on role offers real experience in technical AIEO and SEO implementation, content optimization, and marketing analytics, while giving you a front-row seat to how a global software company uses digital marketing to reach and grow its customer base. This is an in-office internship based at our Jacksonville, FL headquarters.

We're looking for a motivated, curious individual who's eager to develop specialized skills in AIEO, SEO, data analytics, and AI marketing applications. This internship is a great fit for someone who enjoys both technical and creative work and wants to contribute to projects that have a real impact on our business.

Details of the Program:

  • Duration: 8/17/2026 - 12/11/2026
  • Hours: 20-25 hours/week
  • Pay: $20 per hour

What You'll Do:

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze performance data across marketing channels — organic search, paid, social, and email — and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for the team
  • Monitor trends in search data, audience behavior, and competitor activity to help inform strategy
  • Present data findings to team members in a clear, digestible format to support decision-making
AI Marketing & Automation
  • Write, test, and refine AI prompts for marketing use cases including audience research, and campaign ideation
  • Assist in building and configuring AI agents to automate repetitive marketing workflows and improve team efficiency
  • Use AI-powered analytics platforms to surface patterns in marketing data and identify growth opportunities
  • Test generative AI outputs for brand voice consistency, accuracy, and SEO alignment
AIEO & SEO
  • Support technical AIEO/SEO initiatives, including content optimization, internal linking, backlinking, and website structure improvements to improve search and AI engine visibility
  • Help implement on-page best practices across our digital properties
  • Assist in optimizing content to appear in AI-generated search experiences, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity — ensuring RF-SMART shows up where buyers are searching
  • Conduct keyword and search intent research to align content with the buyer journey and target ICP segments
  • Monitor how RF-SMART appears (or doesn't) in AI-generated responses and help develop strategies to improve brand presence in those environments
  • Create and optimize digital content for both traditional search performance and AI engine discoverability

What You Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Genuine interest in digital marketing, AIEO, SEO, and emerging AI technologies
  • Comfort working with data — analyzing it, drawing conclusions from it, and communicating findings clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Quick learner with the ability to pick up technical concepts with ease
  • Basic understanding of HTML or analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) is a plus, but not required
  • A passion for growth — both professionally and in the craft of digital marketing and data
