Description

Scope and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage equipment, vessels, filtration media, containers, and raw materials required for production and packaging      operations, ensuring equipment is clean, suitable, and ready for use.
  • Manufacture and package products in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and quality standards while maintaining batch      integrity throughout the production process.
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and add raw materials using the appropriate scales and equipment, ensuring all ingredients and packaging materials meet production requirements.
  • Safely operate production equipment, including mixers, valves, vacuum systems, pumps, forklifts, hoists, and other material      handling equipment, following all approved operating procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required production documentation, including recording raw material lot numbers, production data, packaging information, product identification, and batch records.
  • Label vessels, containers, and finished products accurately with the appropriate product and lot information.
  • Monitor production and packaging operations, reporting delays, equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, unsafe conditions, or other issues that could impact safety, quality, or production efficiency.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment in accordance with housekeeping standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn and effectively utilize the company's ERP system to support production      activities, inventory accuracy, and operational data.
  • Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE),      respirators, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), hazard communication, safe material handling, and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Utilize proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices when moving raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate with the Production Lead and team members to prioritize work, meet production schedules, ensure product quality, maintain accurate documentation, and achieve customer shipment requirements.
  • Cross-train and perform production or packaging responsibilities as assigned to support operational needs and production      goals.

Requirements

Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures, manuals, and product recipes/material identifications, and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of weight, volume, and distance, and the ability to reason through problems involving standardized situations with limited variables.

Must demonstrate manual dexterity to operate a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, scales, spatulas, drum carts, hand trucks, forklifts, utility knives, and mixer/blender machinery.

Requires the knowledge and ability to operate multiple processes and equipment, including mixers, scales, and mills, and to manage multiple batches.

Must have working knowledge of chemical and/or color ingredients and mixing processes.

Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience at management's discretion).
