The Raytheon Shipboard Missiles division, a sub strategic business unit within Naval Power is seeking an Associate Director (AD) for a Development/DMSMS Program Manager on the Standard Missile 3 (SM-3 IB) program. This is a highly visible program within both Raytheon and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
The AD reports directly to the SM-3 IA/IB Program Director and is responsible for executing development and DMSMS proposals, transitioning development projects to production, and actively managing obsolescence. This role will require an individual to maintain and continue to strengthen our customer relationships and create future growth opportunities through those relationships.
The AD is a leader of leaders and is responsible for proposing and executing DoD development and DMSMS contracts, transitioning both development and DMSMS projects to production timely to support execution, and proactively planning activities for future capabilities/production program cut ins. The AD collaborates closely with the SM-3 IB Development/DMSMS Program Manager to ensure consistency across the portfolio. Also, the AD works closely with SM-3 Leadership to set strategy, vision and direction for successful program execution focused on overall product affordability, product integrity, and on-time deliveries to production to enable successful delivery to our customers.
**This is an onsite position that can be located at the Tucson, AZ site.

Will You Will Do:
  • Ownership of related profit and loss, AOP and financial performance commitments
    Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions between development, obsolescence and production
  • Develop and execute program growth strategies
  • Understands and represents customer needs to leadership
  • Partner with program leaders to shape/capture future acquisitions
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
  • Actively manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
  • Ability to travel as needed

What You Will Learn:

  • SBU & SSBU organizational structure, responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas, and deliverables

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience
  • Prior Experience with executing development contracts, transitioning to production and obsolescence programs
    Production Program/Project Management Experience
  • Prior experience with Earned Value Management systems (EVMS) or similar tools or programs
  • Prior people leadership or management experience

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Program Management certification level 4 or ability to achieve within 6 months
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for large scale programs with proficient use of program management tools
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with cross-program, cross-functional, and multiple customers
  • Experience working with MDA/Navy and other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
  • Ability to thrive in an innovative environment with an emphasis on strategic planning for future program operations
  • Ensure customer performance feedback and actions/requests are responded to in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner
  • Working knowledge of metrics and demonstrated ability to forecast and manage financials

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
