Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: St. Helens School District, Oregon
Schedule: 34 hours per week | School Year 2026–2027
Contract Length: 9 months
Start Date: August 31, 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across the St. Helens School District. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to K–12 students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under SLP supervision
  • Support implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Assist with clinical, documentation, and educational activities

  • Travel between nearby school sites as needed within the district

Compensation

  • Local Pay Rate: $40/hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
  • Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork (or equivalent clinical experience)
  • Active SLPA certification or licensure in the State of Oregon
  • At least 1 year of SLPA experience preferred
  • Knowledge of and adherence to professional practice standards
  • TB screening (if applicable)
  • Current health clearance per state or contract requirements
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
