Position Details

Experience as a School Based BCBA: Required school based experience as a BCBA.

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) – School Based - Qualifications and Duties:

·         BCBA will provide behavior analysis services and develop behavior intervention plans for special education students.  In addition, this person provides support and professional learning to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians, with respect to behavior intervention techniques, conducting assessments, and developing behavior intervention plans.

·         Acts as liaison with the public and mental health community for the purpose of supporting individual student development goals.

·         Administers programs and services for behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students.

·         Assists with student crisis intervention, developing interventions, functional behavior assessments and behavior plans.

·         Collaborates with school personnel, agencies, and families in coordinating individualized services for students. Collecting and Summarizing Behavioral Data

·         Completes all reporting requirements as mandated by the district, state, federal, and educational agencies (i.e. restraint and seclusion, assessments, behavioral data)

·         Participates in the development of Individualized Educational Programs for students.

·         Provides social skills instruction to students utilizing research-based methodologies and approved District curricula.

License – Education - Certification:

·         Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) issued by BACB

·         Master’s Degree

·        Licensed Behavior Analyst issued be Delaware Division of Professional Regulation (DPR) Preferred

·         School-based experience working with students with autism, other behavior challenges.
