Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - School SettingPosition Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our school-based team for the upcoming academic year. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will assist in providing speech and language services to students. Responsibilities include supporting therapy implementation, documentation, educational activities, and treatment-related tasks while working within the established plan of care and professional scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Assist with individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate treatment records.
  • Support educational and communication development goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members as appropriate.
  • Follow all state, federal, and professional practice standards.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Position Details
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 36 weeks
  • Start Date: August 24, 2026
  • Setting: School-Based

    • Transition Program (ages 18-22)
    • Early Childhood/Preschool Programs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program with an associate degree, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience as required by state regulations.
  • Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification or licensure in the state of practice.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional SLPA experience preferred.
  • Current health clearance, TB screening, and any additional requirements mandated by state regulations or contract.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
