SLP jobs refer to positions held by Speech-Language Pathologists, who are professionals trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders. They work with individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly, in settings such as schools, hospitals, private clinics, and rehabilitation centers. SLPs help people improve their speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities, often collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals. The demand for SLPs is high due to the wide range of conditions they address, including developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, and more.
