Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Slot Technician II is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Assumes responsibilities of Supervisor Slot Performance in the supervisor’s absence as assigned.
  • Helps coordinate and lead slot floor moves and shift assignments.
  • Provides direction for Slot Technicians on assigned shift as assigned.
  • Has the ability to coordinate Special Projects as assigned.
  • Ensures the overall smooth operation of all slot related equipment.
  • Keeps slot machines and associated parts in working order.
  • Maintains and repairs gaming equipment as deemed necessary.
  • General preventative maintenance of gaming tables and slot machines.
  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate cause of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems.
  • Participates in moves and/or conversions of related gaming equipment as required.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs slot machines.
  • Safeguards all property assets in the slot department.
  • Follows all Internal and Indiana Gaming rules and laws.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests to enhance guest relations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the slot technician supervisor.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of slot related machinery.
  • Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.  Must have good communications skills.  Must have basic computer skills. Must have two (2) or more years’ experience in a Slot Technician capacity.  Must have minimum three-year experience electronic background.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Team Leadership and motivational skills
  • Electronics at the circuit board level.
  • Technical experience and training with slots.
  • Electronic and computer programming.
