Description

Heidtman Steel Products, Inc, a steel processing company, is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Erie, MI facility. Maintenance personnel are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all our slitting line, tube mills, overhead cranes and forklifts, as well as general building maintenance. Wages for this role start at $27.47 per hour, based on experience. Openings on 2nd shift - production hours 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Requirements

  • INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
  • Candidates must have experience working on, troubleshooting and installing 120V/208V, 277V and 480V 3 Phase electrical systems.
  • Must be comfortable working on and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints is necessary.
  • Ability to weld and fabricate as needed.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Heavy industrial manufacturing experience and be computer literate is required.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot Variable Frequency Drives is preferred.
  • PLC troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Must provide basic tools/tool box.
  • Must be comfortable using a Multi-Volt Meter.
  • General Building Maintenance and industrial plumbing.
  • Ability and experience operating a variety of standard hand and power tools.
  • High school diploma or GED also required.
