Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
Instructs/provides direction to Slitting Assistants. Performs Slitting Assistant job duties, as needed.
Reads and produces according to production schedule.
Interprets production documents (i.e. spec sheet, color target).
Performs job setup (including vent unit)/changeover.
Operates/troubleshoots slitter.
Performs quality checks.
Reports/corrects nonconforming issues, including the removal of flagged defective material.
Records/tracks production output and scrap.
Reports runtime vs. downtime.
Maintains retain samples.
Maintains slitter and notifies Converting Team Lead to generate work orders.
Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
Performs other related duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
Minimum of 1 year slitting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
12-hour shift work experience preferred.
