Job description

The Production Operator will be responsible for safely operating and monitoring the facility’s process and utility systems to ensure stable and efficient offshore production. This includes operating separation, compression, dehydration, seawater injection and utility systems, preparing equipment for maintenance, performing process analyses, supporting emergency response actions, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures. The role contributes to maintaining safe operations, equipment integrity, and consistent production performance.

Responsibilities:
Start/stop and operate oil and produced gas separation plants, gas compressors, glycol dehydration, HPU systems, produced water systems and utilities
Understand the safe operating limits of these systems and parameter control
Start / stop and operate water cooling, coarse / fine filtration, deaeration and seawater injection systems. Understand the safe operating limits of these systems
Philosophy of isolations, Permit to Work, Operational, Fire and Gas, and COSHH Task Evaluation. Basic knowledge of cause and effect
Knowledge of the actions and duties of emergency event response as required in abnormal / emergency situations
Knowledge and understanding of actions required to minimize commercial loss while maintaining safe operation. Prepare / isolate equipment or systems for intrusive maintenance
Responsible for conservation and preservation as well as first line maintenance on production system (valves and equipment)
Assist and stand-by when Electrical / Instrumentation and mechanical technicians are working on process systems in order to keep the system safe to perform work
Perform oil and gas pipeline cleaning activities using pigging technology
Communicate effectively with co-workers and communicate any deficiencies to the Control Room Operator and Production Supervisor. Control, operate and optimize daily chemical dosing rates associated with the process system
General organization and maintenance duties in work area.
Perform dew point analysis, TOG analysis, BSW analysis, pH analysis
Perform external readings according to the frequency defined by the PSUPT, verify the values with the Control Room Operator and report any deviations found to the supervisor, defining corrective measures
To generate clear and simple reports aligned with the task
Other duties that are related to the function, as instructed, and requested by the Production Supervisor Maintain up-to-date certification applied to his/her function and medical certificates Participate in company training, as defined
Ensure compliance with Hercules Offshore procedures as applied to your position, including the work permit system. Comply with all emergency tasks assigned to your role in the emergency response plan, when applicable
Required to be fully familiar with and comply with the Company, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures assigned to your title / position
Anticipate and realize any unsafe condition and ensure that the correct actions are taken as per procedure. Responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your co-workers
