Job description

Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH is seeking a Registered (RPSGT) Sleep Technician.


This position is full-time, 4 nights per week (7:30pm-5:30am). This includes weekends as needed.



General Summary:

Manually analyzes testing as directed.

Works under the supervision of the attending physician and Office Manager.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Provide patient education regarding the sleep test.
  2. Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing.
  3. Apply electrodes and sensors according to standards.
  4. Perform routine PAP fitting and desensitization.
  5. Analyzes sleep testing data accurately and in a timely fashion as directed by the Office Physician.
  6. Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

-Previous experience in a sleep lab.

-Adheres to CLIA and OSHA regulations.

-Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

-Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

-Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

-Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).

-Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures

-Experience scoring sleep studies.
