OverviewDepartment: OFIL Sleep Lab Shift: Full-time, NightsFacility: Olympia Fields Hospital Location: 20201 South Crawford Ave, Olympia Fields, IL 60461Responsibilities

The Polysomnographic Technologist-Level I performs all Sleep Disorder Center procedures, including but not limited to sleep data analysis and report generation, diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, in a manner consistent with community and national standards.  Assists the Sleep Center manager/director in daily operations of the sleep Disorder Center, including but not limited to scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed by the manager or director. May be responsible for staff education and training as needed.  Safely manages the environment of care while providing quality services for all customers.  Provides physical and supportive care and sleep related health education to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Nationally registered in polysomnography with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists - BRPT, or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine - AASM required, or a licensed RCP
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program or respiratory therapy program preferred
  • 1 year technical experience working in a  sleep lab/center preferred
  • Experience scoring sleep studies, preferred
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If there is no Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required
