Inova Children'sisseekinga dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Advanced Practice Provider tojoin their teamin Fairfax Virginia.This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children's health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus andrelocationassistance.

Your role includes:

  • Participate in multidisciplinary pediatrichematology and oncology care.

  • Participate in the inpatient care team(Hematology Consult Service and Inpatient Attending)

  • Engage in pediatrichematology andoncology forclinical research projects and studies, including translational efforts.

  • Our team includes9experienced Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physiciansand9 advanced practice providerswho diagnose, manage, and treat all forms of childhood cancers, blood disorders,andbone marrow failure syndromes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:For Nurse Practitioners: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post-masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing; For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Licensure:Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner;If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence)AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances).

  • Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start

  • Payer Credentialing:Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability toenrolledas a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor

  • Medical Staff Credentialing:Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership andappropriate clinicalprivileges sufficient to perform all required services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
