Skyline - Assisted Living Medication Technician (Med-Tech) / On-Call
to join our team!
The pay for this role is $27 per hour
Do you have a passion for people, and are looking for a reliable, enjoyable time role where you will be valued? If so, we can't wait to talk with you! We have an exciting opportunity at Skyline, a Transforming Age community.
Our Medication Technician/Aide:
  • Prepares and passes medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects or problems to supervisor or physician.
  • Documents administration or refusal of medication in required format and style.
  • Maintains documentation and communication log in accordance with required procedures, using electronic system when appropriate.
  • Reorders meds as needed, following appropriate protocols.
  • Following medication policies and procedures is responsible for the delivery, ordering, re-ordering, storage, documentation and destruction of medications.
  • Insures that medication is available when needed through on time refills. Orders labs as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a WA State Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
  • 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
  • Successful completion of Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in state, as required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in long term care, home care, or a related field.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre-employment physical).
