LSG Sky Chefs with over 75 years of Catering history is immediately hiring Full-Time team players to prepare products for our Airline, E-Commerce, and Retail customers. We are the worlds leading provider of endtoend airline products and services with a fast-growing footprint in Convenience Retail and Subscription Food Service.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsibilities for cooking according to airline customized menu, procedures and recipes.
  • The job includes sauting, poaching, baking, grilling, and sauce preparation, as well as working with broilers, fryers, grills, ovens, and stovetop cooking.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, FIFO, rotating stock, interpreting specifications.
  • implementing GMP procedures to include proper temperature controls.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices set by LSG Sky Chefs and FDA/ USDA/HACCP and our customers.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent attendance/performance, and safety record

Skilled in the proper use of cutlery, kitchen equipment, and machinery.

Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask.

Extensive knowledge of safe food handling practices as well as workstation sanitization.

Must have the ability to use knives, cutting boards, mobile shelving, carts, meat slicers, and related industrial kitchen equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.

Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language at a comprehensive level.

Ability to convert to metric measures with a conversion chart.

Wear protective equipment as required.

Availability and Work Hours

  1. Must be willing to work Weekend and Holidays
  2. 8:00 AM - 5:00PM - Unless over time is called
