Since our trails were first carved in 1959, Tenney has been known for its old-school charm, 1,650 feet of vertical, and authentic New England ski culture.After a historic comeback season in 2022-2023, our momentum is only growing, we're re-energizing Tenney from summit to base - upgrading lifts, improving snowmaking, and building a team that's passionate about mountain life.Keep Our Mountain Moving (About the Job)As a Ski Lift Mechanic, you'll be a key player in keeping our guests moving safely and efficiently to the top. From inspections and repairs to leading a skilled team, your work ensures a smooth ride all season long.Your Day on the Mountain (Key Responsibilities):Responsible for maintenance activities required to assure safe and reliable operation of the area's lift system and associated equipment.Utilize safety guidelines to conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections of assigned lift equipment.Must become proficient at starting stalled ski lifts; assist in running lifts under auxiliary power and following lift failure and evacuation procedures.Your Mountain Toolkit (Qualifications):Minimum 2 years of experience in lift maintenance, industrial maintenance or related field, required.Ability to obtain climbing certification.General mechanical aptitude and capabilities, proficiency with basic hand tools, ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems, and familiarity with lift-related control circuits.Working knowledge of CPTSB and ANSI codes pertaining to ski lifts, familiarity with general industry OSHA regulations.Ability to work at high altitudes, on high structures, outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.Ability to push/pull up to 160 pounds.Bonus Runs (Preferred Experience):Multi-lift detach experience is a bonus.Previous resort or ski industry experience (not required but a bonus).The Perks of the Peak (What You Get):Competitive payRelocation assistance availableHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLeadership development and advancementSki where you work - mountain access included!Tenney Mountain Resort is an equal opportunity employer.
