Do you thrive on building test processes from scratch? Are Gerber edits, DFM reviews, ECRs, and BOMs part of your toolkit? Would you like to work at a high-tech company located in Ironwood, in Michiganโ€™s Western Upper Peninsulaโ€”home to five downhill ski resorts, extensive cross-country and snowshoe trails, the Iron Belle Trail, the Gogebic Range Trail System, and quick access to Lake Superior?

What youโ€™ll own
  • Reliability across production: analyze, troubleshoot, modify, and repair electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems at multiple production stages.
  • Test strategy: develop test apparatus and methods to prove functionality and verify designs meet industry and customer specs.
  • Standards alignment: ensure procedures comply with applicable industry standards and ISO requirements.
  • Manufacturing test flow: determine how products are tested in manufacturing to demonstrate conformance to specifications.
  • Functional validation: test systems, subassemblies, and parts; identify defects; coordinate corrective actions.
  • Continuous improvement: partner with engineering to implement fixtures and procedures that prevent errors.
  • Customer design assistance: execute Gerber modifications and PCB layouts using in-house tools; create assembly designs from product specs.
  • Manufacturability reviews: support Program Management and Business Development with process flow assessments and compliance to customer documentation.
  • Panelization & supplier interface: produce panel designs and manage working files and approvals with PCB providers.
  • Component strategy: assist with component selection and alternates through quoting, ECRs, and BOM creation.
How youโ€™ll work
  • Report to and collaborate with the Director of Engineering.
  • Document and analyze test cases; share regular progress updates.
  • Partner across engineering disciplines to define, perform, and interpret tests; raise issues and recommend resolutions.
What you bring
  • Preferred bachelorโ€™s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Focus and organization to manage many design elements and technical characteristics during design and component testing.
  • Initiative and urgency to drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth manufacturing execution.
  • Advanced math competency, including calculus, for analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Clear speaking skills to articulate design choices and give direction in development and production.
  • Proficient technical writing for methods, proposals, parts lists, operating and maintenance manuals.
