Job Summary:
PamTen Inc is seeking an Infrastructure Services Engineer to enhance their network and infrastructure operations. The role involves maintaining and overseeing enterprise networks, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing security measures to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on infrastructure and network components, including servers, virtualization, and networking equipment.
• Administer and oversee enterprise network and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Monitor and respond to system and network alerts, including after-hours incidents, as part of an on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and network issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, load balancing, and network segmentation strategies.
• Automate repetitive tasks, using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct problem resolution and root cause analysis to minimize recurring incidents and improve system stability.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with hands-on experience in enterprise network and infrastructure operations.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, dynamic routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Experience working with Cisco networking equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, and Meraki wireless technologies.
• Proficiency troubleshooting network-level VoIP and video conferencing issues.
• Experience with ISP provider products, connectivity troubleshooting, and service management.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in network and infrastructure environments.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server environments, VMware virtualization, and public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA, PCNSE, or VCP are highly desirable.
