Job description

Are you the operations leader who turns plans into performance?

Do you thrive on shaping plant strategy, orchestrating production flow, and delighting customers? Can you use ERP insights and Lean methods to hit aggressive goals in quality, cost, delivery, EH&S, and inventory? If yes, you might be the leader our site needs.

What you’ll own
  • Full accountability for plant supply, production, and service to the customer across the entire site.
  • Strategic planning and execution to meet manufacturing objectives and business strategic deployment goals.
  • End‑to‑end leadership of Facilities/MFG Ops/Post Machining Ops/Quality Ops and all manufacturing and acceptance activities.
  • Annual operating plan inputs covering capital, operating costs, and personnel/headcount utilization.
How you’ll deliver results
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate production and delivery to meet all customer commitments.
  • Leverage ERP and corporate financial systems for accurate performance and financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgets for each plant area; monitor and control direct and indirect costs to plan.
  • Ensure smooth material flow, correct labor application, and adherence to monthly production schedules.
  • Launch and track quality and cost improvement programs; lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Lean daily management to elevate throughput, quality, and stability.
  • Establish, implement, and refine operating policies and procedures.
  • Report site activities and performance metrics; provide periodic updates and special status reports to management and customers.
  • Foster communication so employees are engaged, informed, and aligned with the business.
  • Adhere to the TOMZ Quality Management System and perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • Leadership experience in plant operations: production planning, quality control, cost reduction, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing with practical application to business challenges.
  • Proven ability to achieve EH&S, on‑time delivery, quality, cost, and inventory targets.
  • Strong MS Office skills and required ERP proficiency.
  • Skill in leading, planning, and managing a diverse manufacturing organization; decisive with minimal direction.
  • Experience in Medical Device or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills, including excellent oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean and Six Sigma methods.
Credentials
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in manufacturing and operations with Plant/Senior Management leadership responsibility.
Work environment & physical demands
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds; use team lift or mechanical aids over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Potential exposure to oil, grease, noise, cleaning solvents, dust, metal particles, sparks, coolant, and sharp‑edged materials; PPE (safety glasses, dust masks, ear plugs, cut‑resistant or chemical‑resistant gloves) and engineering controls may be required.
