Position: Admissions & Marketing Coordinator

Confidential Company – Less than 99 bed-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility – Less than 99 bed-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility Shasta / Siskiyou County, California | Full-Time

A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a motivated and results-drivenAdmissions & Marketing Coordinatorto manage the facility’s admissions process while actively developing referral relationships and supporting census growth. This position combinesAdmissions, Insurance Verification, Referral Management, and Healthcare Marketinginto one key role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage referrals from initial inquiry through admission.
  • Review and monitor referrals through CarePort and other referral sources.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements prior to admission.
  • Coordinate referral review with Nursing, Business Office, Rehabilitation, Social Services, and Administration.
  • Maintain timely follow-up with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, families, and insurance providers.
  • Communicate acceptance decisions and coordinate admission arrangements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, physician groups, health plans, and community referral partners.
  • Conduct regular marketing outreach to generate new referrals and increase facility visibility.
  • Track referrals, admissions, declines, lost opportunities, and referral conversion.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to achievecensus and skilled census goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective residents, families, and referral partners.
Qualifications
  • Experience in SNF admissions, healthcare marketing, case management, insurance verification, or post-acute care preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, and managed care preferred.
  • Strong communication, marketing, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with hospital case managers and referral sources.
  • Must be proactive, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
