Duties and Responsibilities
PURPOSE:The IT Enterprise Functional Applications Analyst is a member of the DoIT Enterprise Functional Applications team and provides functional support for the Student, HCM and Financials modules. This position works across the DoIT technical division and functional departments to provide problem analysis and user support.
  • Monitor and assist functional staff with the technical use of PeopleSoft (SIS, HCM, Financials), Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP) and Workday (HCM and Financials). Develop ad hoc queries for users; this includes developing queries requested by users to meet reporting needs.
  • Assist with the development of internal and external necessary reports.
  • Coordinate with users the testing of vendor delivered updates and fixes.
  • Submit problem functional cases to Oracle PeopleSoft for resolution.
  • Support integration development, testing and troubleshooting. Manage ticketing queue to resolve issues timely manner with excellent customer service.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for functional PeopleSoft and Workday processes.
  • Assist in customization design, prototyping, scripting, testing and any upgrades that may occur in PeopleSoft or Workday implementation.
  • Work with the functional staff to develop and implement process and/or systems for improvement of business processes.
  • Responsible for support of PeopleSoft setup tables. Provide hands-on requirements gathering, analysis, and implementation of requested upgrades, enhancements, and changes to PeopleSoft or Workday applications.
  • Provide functional support of applications working directly with modules in managing their requests; understanding their requirements and translating business requirements to functional specifications through hands-on analysis.
  • Coordinate functional security with modules.
  • Develop specifications for change management control.
  • Act as liaison between functional users and technical team.
  • Assist developers with design solutions for application modifications, interfaces and reports.
  • Act as a back-up for PeopleSoft and Workday modules.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student modules version 9.2 is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience with PeopleSoft query is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer system and applications is preferred.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated Functional experience that includes process flow.
  • Strong business analytical skill.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely, and document solutions.
  • Ability to create queries/SQL to troubleshoot and support business users.
  • Possess good analytical skills, with ability to develop solutions independently, and be capable of working under limited direction towards predefined objectives.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Must enjoy being part of a team, and be a team player.
  • Ability to facilitate communication within and between engineering teams.
  • Ability to gather user requirements and translate into technical specifications.
