Job description

We are looking for a sharp, friendly business development manager to assist our company in expanding our customer base.
We build custom simulation, software and training systems for companies that can’t find an off-the-shelf answer. Your job is to find those customers and understand their problem to bring the right solution. We need someone who can enter an energy, agriculture, or construction company and speak fluently about what those tools can do for them.
This is a relationship driven role for someone who's genuinely curious about how technology can solve real problems, not just reciting a script.
Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of new commercial business across energy, agriculture, and construction.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to explain our services.
  • Sit down with customers to understand their needs, then work with our engineers to shape a solution that fits.
  • Own your piece of the proposal process: gathering requirements, coordinating with internal subject matter experts, proposal writing.
  • Represent METECS at industry conferences and trade shows.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Report on pipeline, forecasts, and strategy to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, plus experience in sales or business development.
  • A track record of building relationships that turned into signed business, ideally in technical or professional services markets.
  • Comfort presenting to non-technical audiences and translating complex concepts into something anyone can follow.
  • Genuine curiosity about simulation, digital twins, or immersive technology, and the patience to sit with a customer until you actually understand what they need.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience selling into agriculture, energy, or construction industries.
  • Familiarity with VR, simulation, application development, data.
  • Existing network in industrial training, safety, or operations technology.

Citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.
About METECS:
We are a high-performance team providing advanced engineering, software, and analysis solutions for human space flight and terrestrial applications. We develop and integrate custom software for NASA and other government and commercial customers utilizing a wide variety of in-house, commercial, and open-source technologies. Our specialties include robotics automation, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, multibody dynamics simulations, immersive computer graphics, XR systems and advanced web-based tools.
METECS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
