Job Description
What You Will Do:
Receive and manage service calls from the Service Resource Center
Diagnose, service, and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites
Troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical guides
Service and install Fire & Life Safety systems (including SimplexGrinnell)
Complete Service Acknowledgements and maintain proper coding via smart devices
✍ Obtain customer signatures upon completion of work
Participate in an on-call rotation
Mentor or train junior team members
Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
Required:
5-7 years experience in low-voltage electrical systems (Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, Paging)
Ability to read/interpret blueprints, submittals, and manuals
Skilled with multi-meters, digital analyzers, commissioning devices
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Physical ability to move equipment/tools (50-70 lbs) & work in challenging spaces (ladders, scaffolding, crawl spaces, ceilings)
⏰ Flexibility to work varied hours/weekends & travel overnight if needed
Valid driver's license & acceptable driving record
Ability to pass background check & drug test
Maintain required licenses (National/State/Local codes)
Strong customer service skills, positive attitude & organizational skills
Preferred:
NICET Level II Certification
