Job description

Your Role

As a Regional Photography & Videography Editor in Gensler's South Central Region, you will play a critical role in bringing the firm's people, projects, and ideas to life through thoughtful photo, video, and visual storytelling. Working within a collaborative marketing operations team, you will support the organization, processing, editing, and finishing of video and photo assets across a wide range of branded content initiatives.

This role is primarily focused on post-production and desk-based editing workflows, including ingesting and organizing raw footage, color grading, editing long-form and short-form content, creating motion graphics, audio finishing, and preparing deliverables optimized for digital and social platforms. You will collaborate closely with in-house videographers and photographers as well as marketing, public relations, and Gensler's senior leadership to craft compelling stories across multiple formats.

While the role is centered on post-production excellence, there will also be opportunities to support live productions and on-set work as project needs arise. Team members may occasionally assist with production logistics, camera operation, lighting, audio setup, interview support, or content capture during shoots, events, and project site visits.

What You Will Do

  • Post-Production Expertise: Manage end-to-end post-production workflows, including media ingest, organization, syncing, editing, color correction, audio cleanup, finishing, and delivery.

  • Media Organization & Workflow Management: Process, organize, and maintain large volumes of Sony S-Log3 raw footage, project files, proxies, assets, and archives using efficient editorial workflows and file management best practices.

  • Creative Video Editing: Edit engaging highlight, hype, and branded b-roll-driven videos that capture the energy, design impact, and storytelling behind Gensler's work.

  • Long-Form Storytelling: Edit videos featuring long-form interviews with multiple subjects, shaping narrative structure, pacing, sound, and visual storytelling.

  • Social Media Adaptation: Create optimized vertical and platform-specific cuts from larger content pieces for social media and digital distribution.

  • Color & Finishing: Perform color grading and color correction, particularly working with Sony S-Log3 footage and maintaining visual consistency across projects and brand standards.

  • Motion Graphics & Animation: Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animated elements, and simple visual effects to elevate video content and storytelling.

  • Audio Post-Production: Clean, mix, and refine dialogue, interviews, music, and sound design elements to ensure polished final outputs.

  • Photography & Image Post-Production: Support photo post-production workflows, including photo editing, retouching, color correction, and asset management.

  • Collaborative Production Support: Work cross-functionally with videographers, photographers, marketers, designers, and creative leadership while supporting evolving content needs and production schedules.

  • Curiosity with Tools: Explore emerging creative technologies, workflows, and AI-assisted tools that enhance post-production efficiency and storytelling.

Your Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in video editing, assistant editing, post-production, or related creative roles

  • Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating editing, storytelling, motion graphics, and post-production work (required)

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and DaVinci Resolve

  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, typography, and visual storytelling techniques

  • Strong understanding of color correction, color grading, codecs, media workflows, proxy workflows, and delivery specifications

  • Experience processing and working with Sony S-Log3 footage and professional camera workflows

  • Proven experience editing both short-form branded content and long-form interview-driven storytelling

  • Experience creating content optimized for horizontal and vertical formats across digital and social platforms

  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One for photo editing and asset preparation

  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing complex project structures, media libraries, and collaborative editorial workflows

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience and/or interest in shooting both photo and video.

  • Experience shooting video using Sony camera systems

  • Familiarity with and/or interest in lighting, audio capture, interview production, and on-set production workflows
