What You'll Do
As a Machinist, you'll apply your technical expertise to machine complex parts while maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, and manual mills
  • Machine parts to print using both metric and inch drawings
  • Hold and inspect tight tolerances-sometimes less than 0.001 inch
  • Produce simple to complex components using a variety of machining equipment
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparators
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, including GD&T
  • Devise creative and unconventional part-holding methods when needed
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
