Finance Manager
Luxury Mountain Resort Property - Bozeman, Montana
POSITION SUMMARY
A luxury resort property in the Bozeman, Montana area is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations. This role oversees accounts payable/receivable, payroll, income audit, and financial reporting, and partners closely with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
LOCATION & RELOCATION
Relocation to Bozeman, Montana is required. This is an on-site role; remote or hybrid work is not available.
WORK AUTHORIZATION
Candidates must have current, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. The employer does not sponsor visas or work permits of any kind - no exceptions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including AP/AR, payroll, and income audit
  • Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet/bank reconciliations
  • Lead month-end close and preparation of preliminary financial statements (may require extended hours, including occasional weekends)
  • Monitor revenue and expense trends to support profitability and cost control
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support the audit process
  • Review credit applications, contracts, and cancellations for incoming group business; oversee collections on delinquent accounts
  • Approve capital expenditures and monitor inventory controls
  • Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience; hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, iScala, Simphony) and advanced Excel
  • Strong understanding of hotel financial operations, controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills; able to work under deadline pressure

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base : USD$ 95k yearly salary
  • Housing allowance : USD$ 12k per year (USD$1,200 per month)
