Job description

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking a highly engaged, motivated, and community-centered individual for a part-time Silver Sneakers Instructor in Laguna Niguel.

This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes for our Active Older Adult (AOA) community. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Silver Sneakers Instructor will help promote healthy lifestyles and demonstrate our commitment to supporting community well-being.

Location: Laguna Niguel

Work Schedule: Part-Time

Purpose and Impact:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
  • Education & Experience:
    • Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field.
      • Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
    • Related background in health and/or fitness.
  • Certifications:
    • Active Silver Sneakers Certification required.
    • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
