Job description

Technical Machine Operator

Technical Machine Operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. Operators ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks. Standard hours to be 3:00pm-1:00am


Basic Functions:

  • Calibrate the Machine before the Production begins.
  • Ensure the machines are operating to standards.
  • Monitor and control the machine performance and settings.
  • Regularly conduct tests of the machine performance and operating capacity.
  • Inspect machinery periodically.
  • Fix any issues or malfunctions that may occur with machine.
  • Check the output of the machine and identify issues.
  • Regularly submit performance reports.
  • Conduct processing checks to ensure customer specifications.
  • Understand and follow all SOP settings.
  • Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience as a machine operator
  • Good understanding of production procedures and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, SOPS, and handbooks
  • Ability to document settings and production results
  • Experience using touch screen controllers
  • Intermediate trouble shooting skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. as single person lift
  • Climbing (Ladders, Stairs, Etc.)
  • Bending and stooping
  • Extended periods of being on your feet.


This is a full-time, hourly position (base pay rate = $19.25-$21.75/hour) with benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan with a generous employer match, employee assistance program, employer gift-matching program, wellness program, and company-paid holidays. Additionally, this role may qualify for a quarterly bonus. This position is located in Momence, IL 60954.
