Job description

Our client, a leader in the in the commercial flooring business, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales and Project Manager.ย  ย As a Sales and Project Manager, you will develop and maintains accounts and drives new sources of recurring revenue for the Company.ย  The Sales and Project Manager will be the face of our client, reporting directly to the General Manager, and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy, working to forecast and create a consistent revenue stream.ย 

The key function is to find recurring work from clients; ideally end users of projects that the Commercial Flooring division installed for a GC. This role finds their own leads, measures onsite and/or perform takeoffs, and prepares cost estimates and proposals and manages the project. The goal is to produce sustainable financial growth by boosting sales, increasing profit margins, and forging strong relationships with clients that drive repeat business for the Company.

Service work by definition is:ย Flooring installations of any size in the facilities described above; Any job expected to be under $50,000 sales price (except wood athletic floor re-sands); Emergency Repairs/Drying and Mitigation

Service work is not:ย New commercial work; Total floor replacements; A job with specifications; Maintenance/janitorial work

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop a growth strategy focused both on increasing repeatable revenue streams as well as customer satisfaction.

Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and target Owners of Buildings and Facilities where our client has installed a new floor or floors.

Develop relations with capital projects and maintenance teams to drive more work at those districts/facility groups

Sign up service contracts that have unit rates and possibility of extension without rebid or competition

Leverage direct purchasing cooperatives such as Sourcewell

Promote the company's products/services while addressing and/or predicting clients' needs and buying patterns.

Buyout materials and labor and provide delivery scheduling as required to Warehouse team

Notifies accounting to process project billing(s).

Keep records of sales revenue, profit margins, KPI's, etc.

Provide trustworthy feedback and after-installation support.

Requirements and skills

Minimum 5 years working experience as a business development/account manager in the commercial flooring industry.

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and cope under pressure.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills as evidenced by a proven sales track record.

Competent and comfortable cold calling, making drop-in appointments and giving presentations.

A track record of following through on commitments.

Provide weekly updates to management through detailed reports

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Pipedrive).

Proficient in English.

Valid driver's license.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field preferred.

Work Schedule/Territory:

7:30AM to 5:00PM.

Base office - Clackamas, OR

Territory: OR/WA in a 2+ hr radius - Eugene, Olympia, The Dalles and Oregon Coast

FTF Meetings with Facility Maintenance and Capital Project staff

Owner Presentations with Powerpoint presentation

Cold Calls/Telemarketing

State contracts/purchase agreements with repeat potential

Compensation Package:

Salary range: $100-120K

Health Care - 100% employee coverage on group medical/dental/vision

Company vehicle: leased vehicle with fuel, repairs and maintenance

Commission structure - ability to earn up to $75K additional.
