Job description:
Madison Sign Studios is a full-service sign and graphics company in Madison, Wisconsin and is seeking a Master Sign Maker to be our Production Leader. Our mission is to be the premier sign partner by delivering the best products, on time and on budget, while providing outstanding customer service before, during, and after the sale. We want to set the pace for quality and service in the sign industry.
Are you the experienced sign industry craftsperson who is ready to take that next career step from Sign Shop worker to Sign Company Leader? Are you already a seasoned sign shop leader but want the challenge and excitement of taking a company from startup to industry leader? Madison Sign Studios is seeking an experienced Sign Business Operations Leader to join our team.
What we are specifically looking for is someone with:
The drive to get fully immersed in partnering in the startup of this new business.
5-7 years of hands-on sign making experience
Graphic design experience, specifically in the Adobe suite or similar.
Experience with RIP software
Color management and matching experience
Broad range of Sign Installation experience (surface applications, wraps, monuments, channel letters, dimensional signs, etc.)
Experience with face-to-face customer interactions
Versed in coordinating with outsource partners, suppliers and sub-contractors
The drive of an entrepreneur
Exceptional organizational skills
A hunger to learn and grow professionally
The ability to have fun
Other qualifications:
Knowledge of power tools and hardware for sign installation
Knowledge of, and ability to work with, different substrates
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
Comfortable working on a ladder
Must have flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to substrate
Project management/workflow experience, a plus
People leadership experience, a plus
Valid drivers license
