Job description

Premier Outdoor Installations is seeking motivated Construction Workers to join our team. This hands-on role involves the installation of commercial playgrounds and shade structures for schools, parks, and community spaces. We offer competitive starting pay, paid training, benefits, and advancement opportunities into leadership roles such as Crew Lead and Foreman.

Compensation:

$18 - $20 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Aid tradesmen, sub-contractors and craft workers such as painters, roofers, plasterers, carpenters, and electricians, as necessary
  • Adhere to all directions from the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately
  • Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean and meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site and tear down old structures
  • Transfer, carry, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, lumber, tile, saws, grout, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of playground sites, including excavation, grading, and drainage
  • Safely and efficiently assemble, install, and anchor playground structures, swings, slides, and shade systems
  • Operate construction tools and equipment (drills, saws, compactors, etc.) in a safe and effective manner
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and crew members to ensure quality and timely completion of projects
  • Unload, organize, and stage all building materials and tools for accessibility
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite, including proper disposal of materials and debris
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site
  • Support tradespeople and equipment operators as needed to complete additional project tasks

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions such as extreme temperatures and rain
  • Equivalent, GED, or high school diploma is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred
  • Solid mechanical skills are needed, as are good eye-hand coordination and depth perception
  • Experience working on a construction site, understanding of blueprints and construction plans, and knowledge of construction tools, methods, and equipment is required
  • Both physical stamina and physical strength are essential
  • Construction or related experience preferred (willing to train motivated candidates)
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications is a plus
  • Comfortable operating construction equipment and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have good balance, coordination, and physical strength to perform labor tasks
  • Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and ability to follow directions
