Job description

Duties

-Responsible for leading the completion of daily or weekly sign installation assignments in a timely, efficient, effective and safe manner with customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal. This is a field-based roles requiring regular travel to customer installation sites

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation

- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to guide installation processes

- Collaborate with other departments and contractors to coordinate installation activities

- Install a wide variety of sign types including pylons, building signs, ADA signage and vinyl graphics.

- Electrical repairs and service including LED retrofits

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Previous experience as a lead installer is required
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of minor electrical or service experience or combination of electrical and service experience.
  • Maintain active CDL Class B License
  • Maintain active DOT Certification
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a helper
  • Basic electrical knowledge especially in regards to lamps, ballasts, sockets and primary voltages. Troubleshooting to determine issues and solutions.
  • Understanding of hand tools, welding, minor electrical, aerial lifts and cranes.
  • Problem solver – ability to identify root cause and implement solutions.
  • Reading comprehension – understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including materials used and work performed
  • Willingness learn and perform new skills
  • Ability to use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to complete forms and gather required information completely and accurately
  • Basic knowledge of computers and electronic hardware.
