Job description

Spectrum Comm Inc is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Certified Master Black Belt to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role involves coaching and mentoring Green Belts and Black Belts, managing improvement projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of excellence.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD. Estimated start date of July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex Lean Six Sigma projects driving process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma training programs for organizational staff.
  • Coach and mentor Green Belts and Black Belts to build organizational capability.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align improvement projects with business goals.
  • Analyze process data and metrics to identify areas of improvement and track project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Lean Six Sigma standards and best practices.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Certified 5 years of Master Black Belt experience (from American Society of Quality or military equivalent).
  • 120 hours (minimum) of MBB training focused on strategic leadership, culture change and mentoring
  • Minimum 3 years of DoD MBB experience (consulting, advising)
  • Two years of MBB Experience at DLA desired
  • DoD Strategic, programmatic, operational experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience using CPI project repository software
  • Experience with training and mentoring Lean Six Sigma practitioners.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Master's degree in leadership or organizational development
  • Former CPI experience as DoD employee.
  • Advanced Professional Military Education (Combined Armed and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, Air Command and Staff College, other DoD Intermediate Level Education) or Graduate Level Coursework
  • Minimum 3 years Coaching and mentoring DoD CPI belt candidates, DoD senior leaders, champions, sponsors, CPI team leads, and/or CPI team
