Job description

As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers we offer top-grade equipment for your demanding requirements - not only for polymer applications but also for the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

Job Duties: Play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality. Spearhead improvements to the Pelletizer rotor grinding process by evaluating grinding programs for Haas, Schneeberger-Corvus, and Drake CNC machines to optimize tool paths, identify and implement the best tools, and develop pallet loader/unloader systems for grinding processes. Lead automation initiatives in the sifter deck manufacturing process and rotor damage inspection by demonstrating an understanding of the wood-based sifter deck assembly process and the ability to program collaborative robots (cobots) for assembly. Develop an inspection tool utilizing cameras and proximity sensors to assess rotor damage and generate reports. Create manufacturing and inspection fixtures for bearing cartridge assembly, sifter deck assembly, cyclone assemblies, pelletizing cutting chambers, and polymer extrusion gear pumps and screen changers to enhance efficiency and product quality. Analyze daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reported by production teams. Identify trends and report findings to management. Drive improvements in production KPIs by addressing safety issues, defects, and rework. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for production and customer-facing teams, utilizing Dozuki/MS Office to digitize and format these documents for easy access. Provide support for equipment maintenance and OEM maintenance schedules to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Recommend critical parts for inventory. Support new product launches to ensure product quality and manufacturability. Be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of the fully automated robotic disk grinding cell and minimizing downtime. Domestic travel required up to 25%.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in manufacturing engineering. Must have five (5) years of experience in all of the following: 2D/3D drawings engineering design software, Solidworks or AutoCad.; and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Must have three (3) years of experience in all of the following: Engineering modeling software such as Creo7.0 and Catia V5; Lean Manufacturing using Green Belt processes; and Design of Experiments (DOE). Must have two (2) years of experience in all of the following: CAD/CAM Software; Robots/cobots in manufacturing; and Developing Digital Standard Work.

Rate of Pay: $120,370.00/year
