Job description

Seeking an experienced Siemens Desigo BAS Controls Engineer, Programmer, or Technician to join its growing controls team.

This position is specifically focused on professionals with hands-on experience working with Siemens Desigo building automation systems. We are open to candidates from engineering, programming, commissioning, or senior controls technician backgrounds who have strong Siemens BAS expertise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, integrating, and optimizing sophisticated Building Automation Systems for commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, commission, troubleshoot, and service Siemens Desigo Building Automation Systems.
  • Develop and modify BAS/DDC control programs and sequences of operation.
  • Perform system startup, point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and commissioning.
  • Diagnose complex BAS, HVAC, electrical, networking, and controls issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Siemens controllers, field devices, networks, and supervisory systems.
  • Develop and modify BAS graphics and user interfaces.
  • Integrate HVAC equipment and third-party systems using BACnet and other building automation protocols.
  • Read and interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical plans, and sequences of operation.
  • Work with HVAC equipment including AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, and central plants.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, VFDs, controllers, communication networks, and other control components.
  • Optimize existing BAS programming and sequences to improve system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, customers, and other technicians throughout project execution.
  • Provide technical support and system training to customers and internal team members.
  • Complete commissioning documentation, project reports, and system closeout documentation.
  • Work independently at customer sites while maintaining strong communication with the project team.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on professional experience with Siemens Desigo Building Automation Systems.
  • Experience programming, commissioning, engineering, troubleshooting, or servicing commercial BAS/DDC systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and control sequences.
  • Experience with BACnet and BAS networking.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings, mechanical plans, and sequences of operation.
  • Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose problems across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
