Pipeline Dozer Operator (Winch Experience Required)

West Penn Energy Services Wadestown, WV

West Penn Energy Services is seeking a skilled Pipeline Dozer Operator with winching experience and finish dozer capabilities to support an upcoming pipeline construction project in Wadestown, WV. This is a project-based position with the potential for continued employment based on performance and future project needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in right-of-way (ROW) preparation, grading, and winch-assisted operations, along with the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team-oriented field environment.


Responsibilities

  • Operate bulldozers to perform rough and finish grading, ROW preparation, and support pipeline installation.
  • Utilize winch-equipped dozers for pipe handling, pulling equipment, and other critical jobsite operations.
  • Perform tasks such as slope cutting, trench backfilling, ramp building, and work pad construction.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance to ensure safe operation.
  • Coordinate with Foremen, welders, sideboom operators, and ground crews for efficient workflow.
  • Maintain awareness of underground utilities and jobsite hazards; follow all excavation and pipeline safety protocols.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment as needed.
  • Complete equipment logs, maintenance records, and safety documentation accurately.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and pipeline safety requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers in pipeline construction.
  • Proven winch experience (cable or hydraulic systems required).
  • Experience performing precision/finish grading to specification.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline construction methods and ROW preparation.
  • Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding and variable weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel, work overtime, and stay overnight as needed.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 10 or 30


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions on active construction sites.
  • Exposure to uneven terrain, heavy equipment, and high noise levels.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
