Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This job requires that you learn and perform general mill plant operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must have mechanical knowledge

Must follow all safety procedures of Rose Acres and individual sights

Must be able to climb

Must be willing to work any time needed

Needs to have personal tools

Should be able to stick weld

Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions

Must be able to work with all managers

Must be able to work in dusty conditions

Must be willing to travel to different states to work on equipment

Should have knowledge of how most mill equipment operates

Knowledge of how to change bearings, gearboxes, work on conveyors, elevator legs, many other functions too numerous to mention.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Maintenance or mechanical ability helpful, but not necessary.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's safety, employment, and GMP policies including working in a 100% smoke-free environment.
  • Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
  • Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
  • Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
  • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
