OTR NATIONAL SHUTTLE TEAM DRIVER, CDL (Team Driving Required) - Dallas, TX
UOVO, the nation's leading storage and services provider for art, archives, and collectibles seeks a National Shuttle Team Driver, CDL to join its dynamic and growing team. The National Shuttle Team Driver will execute the timely transport of fine art objects between our locations along the East and West Coast. Our ideal candidate is a reliable, team player, and has experience making deliveries in a commerical trucking equipment truck. The National Shuttle Team Driver will report to the Transportation Manager based in Dallas Texas.
Core Responsibilities
Over the Road Team Driving Duties:
  • Support driving commerical trucking equipment, utilizing commercial drivers license, to transport works via UOVO's fleet for national shuttle work to UOVO's East and West coast location cross country.
  • Operate up to a commerical trucking equipment in a team driving environment to provide timely delivery of property including but not limited to fine art and collectibles.
  • White Glove Services & Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for organizing, packing, loading and unloading trucks, ensuring safe transport and accurate delivery.
  • Proficiency using electronic inventory systems and barcode scanners when loading and unloading at each location.
  • Communicate with dispatch via email, text, or phone regarding on-going trips and schedule updates.
  • Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels and driver logs.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and transport artwork to UOVO locations across the country.
  • Preparation of condition checks and condition reports.
  • Perform all required truck inspections to ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications & Skills
  • A minimum requirement of a valid class A CDL and a clean driving record
  • Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to problem solve issues onsite, with the experience to know when to escalate to a Supervisor.
  • Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; schedule flexibility is required.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and national DOT regulations.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards.
  • Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet.
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow.
  • Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, J-bars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment.
  • Experience handling 2d and 3D artwork preferred, but not required

The National Shuttle Team Driver position requires consistent overnight travel from UOVO's Dallas facility five days a week with occasional requests to work nights and on weekends. National Shuttle Team Driver routes will begin in Dallas on Monday and end in Dallas on Friday each week.
