Drive with Purpose in the Heart of Omaha.

Creighton University is seeking dependable, service-oriented, experienced Shuttle Drivers to support campus transportation. Looking to add a part-time driver for the 9:00 pm - 12:00 am shift, Monday- Saturday (18 hours/week). Target Start Date: August 1, 2026

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant driving experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license (2+ years), with clean driving record.

What You'll Do

  • Operate shuttle buses, passenger vans, and other University vehicles on fixed routes, on-demand services, and assigned trips
  • Follow all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DoT) regulations
  • Complete required DoT logs and documentation each shift
  • Perform routine vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and refueling
  • Report maintenance issues, route concerns, or passenger-related incidents
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff

Skills & Abilities

  • Safe operation of shuttle buses and passenger vehicles
  • Knowledge of DoT safety standards and regulations
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness and availability to work additional hours, if needed.
