Rogers Group is currently seeking an Experienced Party Chief (Survey Foreman) in the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the Area Manager of Construction. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details:
  • Wages start at $28.00hr, starting wage based on verifiable experience
  • Fulltime/Permanent
  • Day Shift
  • Weekend work may be required
  • Company Truck (Commute/official business only)
  • Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits

Job Requirements:
  • Determines elevations and laying out stakes for construction surveys
  • Calls out reading and/or directs helpers to write station numbers and readings on grade stakes
  • Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying mark
  • Directs placements of stakes at designated points
  • Enforces and Abides by all safety regulations

Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
  • Years of prior surveying experience as Party Chief/Foreman required or several years' experience as a senior rodman with knowledge and ability to operator survey equipment
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
  • Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary
  • Self-motivated - able to work without requiring close supervision
  • Must pass pre-employment drug-screening
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement
  • Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
