Purpose of Position:


The Showa Material Coordinator is responsible for the accurate tracking, staging, and coordination of ribbon materials within the Showa processing area. This role ensures continuous production flow by maintaining inventory accuracy, staging materials to prevent downtime, and coordinating closely with production, warehouse, planning, and operations management. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while complying with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements.

Schedule:


   12 Hour rotation shift (A, B, C, D)

Major Responsibilities/ Ongoing Tasks:


   Stage ribbons for Showa processing lines to ensure uninterrupted production.
   Track all ribbon inventory using scan gun technology, ensuring every ribbon is scanned and assigned to the correct location at all times.
   Maintain 100% inventory accuracy to comply with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements.
   Move, stage, and organize materials using pallet jacks, carts, and other approved material handling equipment.
   Break down pallets, stage ribbons on carts, and consolidate or reorganize materials as needed to support production.
   Pack empty reels into boxes and onto pallets in accordance with standard procedures.
   Validate reels using scan guns and internal software systems to ensure compatibility with assigned production lines.
   Ensure each assigned production line has a sufficient supply of Showa reels to eliminate unnecessary downtime.
   Communicate proactively with operators, warehouse personnel, other coordinators, planning and scheduling, and operations management to ensure materials and supplies are available to support production needs.
   Monitor material flow and escalate shortages, discrepancies, or recurring issues to supervision or management immediately.
   Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper material identification within the Showa processing area.
   Perform all work in a safe manner while following established safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.
   Be responsible for personal safety and the safety of others in the work area, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
   Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and material coordination objectives.

Requirements:


   Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision.
    Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and internal software systems.
    Experience using scan guns or inventory tracking systems preferred.
    Understanding of inventory control and material tracking; FTZ experience preferred.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and dependability.
   Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and perform material handling tasks.
   Commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality.
   High school diploma or equivalent required.

   PC's (Printers, Scan guns, Label Printers)
   Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
   Shop Floor systems (SAP, CoMET)


Working Conditions:


   Good working conditions.
   Must be willing and able to lift 35 lbs.
   Must be willing and able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift for long periods of time.
   Must be willing and able to always wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Including but not limited to; safety vest, ear plugs, safety toes shoes, cut resistant gloves, and safety ANSI rated glasses.
   Some exposure to elements of dirt, dust, fumes, and noise, but non-disagreeable.

The range for this position is $25.25 hourly rate - $29.63 hourly rate.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
