Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Training Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex training development and delivery tasks in support of SEA 21 initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior and mid-level training and development contractors.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of training team members to ensure high-quality support and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Lead efforts in planning, designing, and implementing effective training programs tailored to Navy and DoD personnel.
  • Ensure all training materials are aligned with current DoD regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to assess training needs, gather requirements, and integrate feedback into course development.
  • Travel as required for site visits, audits, or coordination meetings (up to 10%).

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in training development
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Proven supervisory experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing training staff
  • Strong background in interpreting and applying DoD policies, regulations, and standards
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%) for site visits or stakeholder meetings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree
  • 12+ years of professional training development experience
  • Experience working within Navy programs or similar DoD training initiatives
