These assignments can be found in various industries and usually do not come with long-term employment benefits. Temporary workers are usually hired through staffing agencies or directly by companies. Such positions can be a good way to gain experience, earn income quickly, or transition between jobs.

You can expect a brief orientation focused on essential company policies, safety procedures, and the specific tasks you'll be handling. Most training is hands-on and may be provided directly by your supervisor or a team member on your first day. Because the assignments are short, you'll be expected to adapt and learn quickly, but support is usually available as you get started. Being proactive in asking questions will help you settle in faster and perform well.
