About the Opportunity

Canterra Executive Search is partnering with one of Toronto’s leading real estate developers and owner-operators to identify an experienced Senior Property Manager for a portfolio of premier high-rise residential rental properties across the GTA.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Residential Rental Property Management Professional to join a highly respected, vertically integrated real estate organization with an extensive portfolio and 70 years of presence in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Senior Property Manager will provide leadership and operational oversight across an assigned portfolio while mentoring team members and ensuring an exceptional standard of service for residents and ownership.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operational management of a high-rise residential rental portfolio in Toronto and/or Vaughan, with responsibility for property operations, resident experience, suite turnover, inspections, service coordination, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across an assigned residential rental portfolio
  • Lead, mentor, and support Property Management Coordinators and team members
  • Coordinate and oversee resident move-ins, move-outs, and suite turnover
  • Manage resident service requests and coordinate contractors and third-party service providers
  • Conduct pre-delivery, 30-day, mid-lease, and ongoing suite inspections
  • Ensure properties and suites are maintained to a high standard
  • Support operational planning, administration, and portfolio initiatives
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations and broader management team

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive residential property management experience
  • Strong experience with high-rise residential rental properties
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support property management teams
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and Tarion
  • Exceptional resident service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Post-secondary education
  • Experience with Buildium or comparable property management software considered an asset
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends as required
