pcMRP & Power BI Specialist (Project-Based / Contract)
Location: Onsite, Elkridge, MD
Overview
We are seeking an experienced pcMRP & Power BI Specialist to support manufacturing operations through advanced reporting and data visualization. This project-based role focuses on extracting, structuring, and translating pcMRP data into clear, actionable insights using Power BI.
This engagement is best suited for a hands-on professional who understands manufacturing data flows and can move fast without needing supervision or hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the pcMRP subject matter expert for reporting and data extraction
  • Design and build custom reports, dashboards, and operational trackers
  • Integrate pcMRP data into Power BI for operational and leadership reporting
  • Analyze manufacturing, inventory, and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting outputs
  • Document reports and provide basic knowledge transfer at project completion, as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Proven, hands-on experience with pcMRP (required)
  • Strong experience creating reports and trackers from ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard development
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and production workflows
  • Ability to work independently in a short-term, project-based engagement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or similar production environments
  • SQL or advanced data extraction experience
  • Experience delivering executive- or leadership-level dashboards
